The National Museum of Finland, housed in a national-romantic building on Mannerheimintie, presents the country’s history from prehistoric times to the 20th century, but it is currently closed for renovation and additional construction. The museum is undergoing the most extensive transformation in its history and is scheduled to reopen to the public in spring 2027. During the closure, all permanent exhibitions can be explored virtually, offering online tours through the key stages of Finland’s history.
