Suomenlinna is an 18th-century sea fortress spread over several islands at the entrance to Helsinki’s harbour and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today it functions both as a historic site and a residential district with museums, walking routes, cafés and sea views, easily reached by ferry from the city centre.
