Hangaslahti Sauna is a privately rented smoke sauna complex located on the shore of Lake Näsijärvi, about 13–15 kilometres from Tampere city centre. Surrounded by forest and lakeside scenery, it offers a spacious venue for groups of around 60–80 people, with the possibility to host even larger events with tent arrangements in summer. The building, originally designed by architect Pekka Ilveskoski in 1968 and comprehensively renovated and extended in 2006, includes a large common room, a separate meeting space, a fully equipped kitchen, dressing rooms and generous terraces looking out over the lake. At its core is an authentic smoke sauna where the stove is heated for hours to produce soft, lingering steam; in addition, there is a conventional electric sauna so guests can choose between different sauna experiences during the evening.
For leisure and events, Hangaslahti provides direct access to the lake for swimming in summer and an ice hole for winter dips, an outdoor hot tub, a veranda with a grill and large terrace areas suitable for barbecue parties. The meeting room comes with up-to-date equipment: projector, screen, sound system, television, microphone, whiteboard and wireless internet, plus karaoke in the lounge for more relaxed parts of the programme. Guests are allowed to bring their own food and drinks, or they can book catering through the venue’s partner company. Thanks to its combination of genuine smoke sauna, lakeside nature and well-equipped indoor spaces, Hangaslahden aito savusauna is a popular choice in Finland for company events, team days, celebrations with friends and family retreats within easy reach of Tampere.
