Completed in 1920, the neoclassical log building was Alvar Aalto's first public building design. Originally intended as a Civil Guard hall, it has a high roof and rooftop lantern. The youth association, founded in 1896, uses it as a rental venue for celebrations, meetings and cultural performances.
The main hall holds up to 240 people, or around 100 seated. Facilities include a stage, sound system, projector and screen, plus a kitchen and tableware for about 100. The venue can host weddings, family celebrations, memorial gatherings, meetings and training. The entrance and parking area are accessible.
