Parish activity began in 1859 for workers at a sawmill and glassworks, and has been part of Savonlinna parish since 2013. Activities include family clubs, children's and youth groups, confirmation camps, social support and music. The church holds up to 600 people.
Services, funerals, baptisms, weddings and memorial gatherings take place in the church and parish hall. Rooms for church occasions are booked through the parish office. The entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
