This Lutheran church belongs to the parish and stands in Hetta village. Designed by architect Veikko Larkas, it was consecrated in 1952 and built mainly with the support of American Lutherans on the site of an older church destroyed in the Lapland War in 1944. According to the Finnish Heritage Agency, the rendered, tile-roofed church and its bell tower are landmarks of the village. The altar wall carries a 14-metre mosaic fresco by Uuno Eskola, Christ ascending to heaven blesses the Lapland people.
Regular services, prayer evenings and church cafés are held here. Enquiries and bookings go through the parish sexton's office by phone. The church has an induction loop, a sound system, a piano and a baptismal font, and the car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
