Upholsterer and artisan Liisa Niskanen restores and reupholsters furniture, replacing fillings where needed. Work covers homes, offices, meeting rooms, restaurants, hotels and daycare centres. Bed headboards, boat and motorhome mattresses, pet beds and gym benches are also upholstered. Curtains, cushions and bedspreads are sewn to order.
A preliminary estimate can be based on photographs. Advice is available on fabric choice, and samples can be borrowed to try at home. Fire-retardant and wear-resistant fabrics are used for public spaces. Traditional methods suit pre-1950s furniture, with industrial techniques for later pieces. Artek furniture is also handled.
