This event venue in the Teekkarikylä area of Otaniemi is run by the Aalto University Student Union (AYY). The main hall seats about 200 guests at banquet tables, while the smaller side room, the Aquarium, is mainly used as a back room or quiet side room. The venue has hosted weddings and large parties, and the Otaniemi chapel is about 150 m away.
The modernised commercial kitchen has a convection oven, two large kettles, a tilting griddle, a dishwasher and a coffee maker. Kitchen use requires supervision by a trained person or a catering professional, and AYY runs kitchen courses several times a year. The space is licensed as a serving area, so a licence holder can serve alcohol. Night use is possible with a separate permit, with sound stopping at 02 and the space to be empty by 05. The entrance, toilet and route to the terrace are step-free.
