This full-service flower shop and garden centre opened in spring 1981 in a building designed by architects Raili and Reima Pietilä. It traded as Kukkatalo Isoksela from 1981 to 1985 and as Kukkatalo Maritta from 1986. It sells bouquets, funeral flowers and wreaths, pot plants and house plants, seasonal autumn plants, Lechuza self-watering planters, ceramic protective pots, designer houseplants and silk flowers. Funeral bouquets and wreaths are made to order, and the staff are trained flower arrangers and horticulturists.
Flower delivery covers Helsinki, Kauniainen and Vantaa, including evenings, Sundays and holidays, and orders are also forwarded elsewhere in Finland and abroad. The Kukkamaa department offers interior plant design and plant maintenance for businesses. The shop has its own parking in front of the building and lies about 600 m from Urheilupuisto metro station and 800 m from Tapiola metro station. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
