This Swedish-Finnish cultural and cooperation centre and hotel was founded in 1975 on the initiative of the Swedish and Finnish governments. It runs multi-year cooperation projects and seminars on current societal questions, and manages four Nordic foundations. About 130 events a year focus on Nordic and Swedish-Finnish themes. The hotel has 66 Nordic-style rooms with views over the archipelago.
Restaurant PLATS serves Nordic gastronomy and a seven-course Wine & Dine dinner with matched wines. Event spaces include PLATS (up to 240 people, sea view, terrace), the Solvatten cabinet (up to 30) and the Frank lounge. Company events, kick-off days and Christmas and anniversary parties are held by the sea. The sauna can be reserved for private use on weekdays and Friday and Saturday afternoons. Guests may not bring their own food or drink, as all premises are licensed. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
