The pier is part of the city's summer public boat network. Scheduled services operate from June to August, with network destinations including Pentala, Iso Vasikkasaari, Gåsgrund, Stora Herrö and Rövaren.
Camping is allowed on some islands. Visitors are advised to bring enough drinking water and food, as camping islands generally have no services selling supplies. Access to the pier is wheelchair accessible.
