The pier is associated with summer archipelago boat services. Scheduled public boats operate from June to August, serving islands such as Pentala, Iso Vasikkasaari, Gåsgrund, Stora Herrö and Rövaren.
The network has four main routes and nine small coastal departure harbours. Camping is allowed on some islands. Visitors are advised to bring enough drinking water and food, as many camping islands are wilderness sites without services where supplies can be bought.
