This museum of toys, play and childhood stands in the grounds of the WeeGee exhibition centre. Its main exhibition is the Play Laboratory, alongside changing special exhibitions. The museum collects toys nationally. It began as a collection project in 1984, opened at Linnanmäki in 1996, moved to Tapiola in 2006 and took its present name in 2021. It reopened at its current location in May 2022.
The same building houses a museum shop, the Delicatessen Kruunu & Leikki café and Kruunu, the Finnish clock and jewellery museum. The museum yard has a playground and picnic tables. The Museum Card is accepted. The entrance, parking, seating and toilet are wheelchair accessible and wheelchairs can be hired, but there is no hearing loop.
