Run by Kilo svenska stiftelse, this Swedish-language day-care centre has 21 places for children aged one to six. It emphasises social interaction, movement, Swedish and free play indoors and outdoors. Forest excursions take place year-round, with an ecologically sustainable lifestyle encouraged.
Five-year-olds have a Mini-Föris group. Emotional skills and anti-bullying work are part of daily life. Lunch is provided, with vegetarian lunches twice a week and organic breakfast and snacks where possible. Established in the mid-1950s, the centre moved to the Red Cottage in 2016. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
