This Olari ceramics studio runs pottery courses for beginners and experienced makers, covering wheel throwing, hand-building, glazing and decorating. The 127 m² street-level space has 25 work stations and 6 potter's wheels. Course fees include clay, tools, glazes, firings, coffee and tea. It was founded by Mikko Laitinen, and a small resident dog, Endo, is often around.
Open studio lets you buy clay as needed and work on your own projects, and work made elsewhere can be fired in the electric kilns. Team days and recreation days are available for groups. A kitchen area is there for breaks, and visitors with animal allergies can ask about the dog beforehand. There is accessible parking, but the entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
