The island has a lake with another island inside it, an archipelago museum and a 2.3 km nature trail to Diksand sandy beach. One family lived here from the 1790s until 1986. Guided visits to Gurli's house last about half an hour, and guides also offer sheep encounters.
Arrive by scheduled public boat from several mainland jetties or by private boat. Services operate mainly from June to August. There is a café, seaside restaurant, picnic area, drinking water point and indoor toilets. Individual restaurant visits are on specified days, while groups book ahead.
