Founded in 1978, this teachers' union advocates for teachers in general education. With around 3,000 members, it is affiliated with OAJ, the Finnish Union of Education Professionals, and maintains contact with political decision-makers and education officials.
Alongside advocacy, it organises training, cultural activities and sports. Activities include training and advocacy seminars, a spring meeting and a teachers' evening.
