Founded by Yrjö Lahtonen in 1931, the driving school has been run by four generations of the same family. Its B-licence course includes 15 driving lessons, 13 on public roads in a car. Each student keeps the same instructor throughout. First-licence safety training, risk awareness training and refresher courses are also offered.
Theory is taught live with online self-study materials. Icy and dark road conditions are practised on a simulator with an instructor present. The fleet includes BMW cars, a Honda Zoomer and an Aixam moped car. Existing licence holders can enrol directly on a B or A course.
