The cinema was founded in 1906 by the painter Albert Lindfors and the estate owner Carl Meyer, and it was the first cinema built in a rural area in Finland. Together with a silent film association, it hosts silent film festivals. The programme includes current films, special screenings and documentary weekends.
The hall seats 77 viewers and has modern projection and sound technology. The venue can be rented for private events such as seminars, meetings, concerts and parties, and equipment can be hired too. Gift cards, season tickets, gift tickets and free tickets are available, and businesses can advertise on the cinema screen. The entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
