This two-storey listed Funkis-style building stands in the town centre, in the Uudenkylä old wooden-house area near the Loimijoki river. The building dates from 1938–1939, and hotel operation began in 1931. It was protected by the town plan in 1994, and its restoration is supervised by the Finnish Heritage Agency. Owners Eeva-Liisa and Jarmo Mäkelä bought the hotel in 2007 and renovated the interior and exterior to heritage guidelines. Each room is decorated in its own vintage theme.
Guests have two fully equipped self-service kitchens, a common lounge on the second floor with books and magazines, and a basement washing machine for a small charge. Parking in the large yard is free. Breakfast is included in the standard one-night rate and is served at the nearby Antin konditoria café from 6:00 on weekdays and Saturdays. Longer stays are possible, with offers given according to room availability. Pets are welcome. The hotel is not wheelchair accessible.
