This bakery and konditorei (pastry shop) has been baking at the same address since 1911. The range includes traditional bread baked in stone ovens, rye and other loaves, coffee pastries and confectionery. Newer products include baguettes, chocolate confections and homemade ice cream, and handmade chocolate pralines are sold too.
The business has been run by the same family through four generations, with recipes passed down over time. It began as the Toivonen bakery and was later renamed after the Koivisto family took over. Master confectioner Antero Koivisto was known for his blown sugar work. The premises were enlarged and modernised in 1982. Parking and the toilet are wheelchair accessible, but the entrance is not.
