The Lutheran church hosts parish services and other gatherings. The parish became independent in 1868 after an earlier period as a chapel parish, and belongs to the Diocese of Oulu and the Kalajoki deanery.
Parish announcements provide information about church activities, and services are in Finnish. The entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
