The local-history museum's farmyard contains buildings moved from the surrounding area. The oldest is a granary from 1755. The 19th-century Ruuskan tupa dwelling has a stove wall, bake oven and open hearth. A threshing barn, stable, cowshed, smoke sauna and outbuildings portray rural life in the early 1900s.
Collections include Stone Age finds about 5,000 years old, forestry hand tools and a furnished 1950s logging camp. In 1986, veterans built a wartime shelter near old trenches from a Continuation War training area. A local heritage association runs the museum, whose buildings have heating and electricity.
