This veterinary service specialises in radioiodine treatment of hyperthyroidism in cats, which it has offered since 2015. According to its website, nearly 800 cats have been treated, with about 98% success after a single treatment. If the first treatment fails, retreatment is free.
The radioiodine clinic operates in Renko alongside a small animal clinic, and moved there from Tampere in 2024. Only radioiodine patients are treated at the Renko site. Cats can be collected for treatment or returned home afterwards within 150 km, for an extra charge. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
