Housed in a protected wooden villa more than 100 years old, the café has been run by its current owners since 2021. The coffee comes from the Finnish roastery Johan & Nyström: Fika as filter coffee and La Bomba as espresso. A bakery in the same building makes the pastries and cakes on site. Breakfast is served, and alongside coffee there is sparkling wine, wine and beer from a local brewery under an alcohol licence. The atmosphere is quiet, with no loud music, so it suits remote work. Sustainability is part of the daily routine: renewable district heating, fossil-free electricity, and unsold bakery items are donated.
Rooms can be rented for groups, company events and celebrations. The online shop takes pre-orders for pickup or local delivery in the surrounding area and in Hattula. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the table on a leash. The street entrance has a few steps, but the courtyard terrace is step-free, and staff can be called with a bell.
