The café is on the Tiirinkoski farm, which also has accommodation and a clothing and interior shop on the same site. The café and shop opened in 2013 in a cowshed building from 1910, renovated in 2015. It is known for Belgian waffles made from the farm's own broad beans, served sweet or savoury, with gluten-free and dairy-free options. The coffee is roasted on the farm, dark and strong, and sold in the shop. The menu includes lunch soup and salads, wine from small European farms, special beers and ciders, and at Christmas glögi and gingerbread-spiced coffees.
The farm is run by Nina and Mikko Toivonen, with about 20 people working across the café, shop and farm. It raises Åland Landrace and Gotland sheep and Highland cattle and grows broad beans and grain. The menu is available in English as well as Finnish. Seating, the car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
