The civic activity centre opened to everyone in 2014. Its building was completed as an Orthodox church in 1900 and served as a library from 1923 to 1983. Occupants include the Pysäkki volunteer centre, a wellbeing services county social support point, rehabilitative work activities and the city's integration service.
Associations and communities organise activities in the Pysäkki premises during evenings and weekends. Pysäkki spaces can be booked. The entrance is step-free.
