This riding school and private stable is on the Aulangonniemi peninsula by Lake Vanajavesi. It is a member stable of the Finnish Equestrian Federation and suits first-time riders, those wanting to learn more and those who ride for the scenery. Locals, tourists and corporate groups, for example for workplace wellbeing days, are welcome. The stable building dates from 1939–1940 and was originally built for the needs of the Aulanko hotel. Hämeen Ratsastajat, one of Finland's oldest riding clubs, has been based at the stable since 1955.
The site has been leased since 2010 by riding instructor and horse-husbandry agrologist Salla Varenti, who bought the buildings from the city. The stable was renovated in 2010–2014 and has stalls for 25 horses, transfer stalls for seven, a new riding arena and a stable for 14 horses. The indoor arena was insulated in winter 2023. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
