Founded in 1909, this local history museum is housed in the former factory premises of the Manner mechanical workshop. The permanent exhibition is titled Missä maa ja meri kohtaavat (where land and sea meet), alongside an Adelaide costume exhibition and rotating exhibitions. The museum holds collections and offers guided tours for groups.
The Museum Card and Epassi are accepted. The exhibition spaces are wheelchair accessible, but the archive is not. The car park is on the east side of the building on Linjakatu, and buses stop in front. Bicycles can be brought into the inner courtyard and strollers left inside. Guide dogs are allowed; other pets are not.
