Founded in 1944, the association and social enterprise provides education, activities for children and young people, home care and assisted living. Its work also includes restaurant services, employment projects, immigrant support and volunteering. The adult education institute offers courses for all ages. It is politically and religiously unaffiliated.
Activities are open to everyone. The HeiMo centre provides training and personal support for immigrants. The services carry the Finnish Key Flag mark for domestic origin. Visitors can access the entrance and parking area by wheelchair.
