The foundation provides home care, group homes, rental apartments and activities for older adults. Housing ranges from shared apartments to round-the-clock assisted living. It has focused on older people's services since 1963, with roots in an orphanage founded in 1911.
Group home nursing staff are present around the clock. Community activities, peer support and individual guidance are offered to over-65s living at home. Volunteers can join senior activities or group homes. The foundation also runs the Herkkutupa café. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
