This private-hire restaurant has stood since 1915 on a rocky point at the southern tip of Kulosaari island, right by the sea. The building was designed by architect Armas Lindgren and has been run by several restaurateurs over its history. The main dining room, Merisali, looks out over the Gulf of Finland, and the summer restaurant Sun Marine has lawn terraces. In summer it is known for crayfish parties, weddings and company events.
Weddings, private parties, meetings and company events are held here for large and small groups. Performers can be arranged for events, and a quote can be requested online. It is about a 1 km walk from Kulosaari metro station, and bus 81 stops nearby at Kalliokaivonmäki. A free city parking area with limited spaces is close by. The parking area and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
