Planted by residents in 2020, this woodland contains 280 trees of 11 species, including silver birch, oak, Scots pine, rowan and small-leaved lime. WSP Finland designed the roughly 2,500 m² grounds. The idea of reserving a symbolic tree for love arose in 2016 as an alternative to love locks.
There is a picnic area and an information board identifying the tree species. The project began with a council initiative and is run by the city. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
