The Finnish student exchange organisation offers ages 13–18 a term or school year at a local school abroad while living with a host family. Destinations include the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and England.
It handles the process from application to return, including school placement, family, insurance and local support. An introductory meeting discusses the programme and preferences. After accepting an offer, students complete the application in English. Meetings can be booked online; the entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
Share your or your teenager's exchange arrangements experience in the comments for other families.
