The animal welfare association, known as HESY, was founded in 1874 and presents itself as an animal welfare expert in Finland. It works for homeless animals, looks for new homes for them and looks after the welfare of mistreated animals. The HESY centre it runs cares for animals in need.
You can join as a member without owning a pet, and the work can be supported with donations. Supporters can buy items in the online shop, and a newsletter shares news and events. Seating and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
