The school was founded in 1990 and describes itself as Finland's most experienced band school. Band lessons are offered to all ages, from beginners to advanced players, in guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards or piano and drums. Private lessons cover electric guitar, bass, piano and keyboards, pop and jazz singing and drums, as well as music production and electronic music. The Band Workshop is a playful group for 6 to 8 year olds that introduces rhythm music over up to two years.
Adult music education suits both first-time learners and returning players. Music technology courses cover recording, mixing, music production and the basics of live sound, and electronic music production is taught in group courses and private lessons. Lessons are also available remotely, and the online shop sells single lessons and packages of 3 or 5 lessons.
