Opened in 1993, this City of Helsinki swimming hall is built underground, inside the bedrock. Its five pools include a 50-metre pool, teaching and children's pools, a hot pool and a cold plunge pool, and there are two water slides, 3- and 5-metre diving platforms, virtual Hydrohex aqua fitness, seven saunas including a steam sauna, two gyms and a sports hall.
Gym and Hydrohex use are included in the swimming ticket, and visits are limited to two hours. Lockers take a coin or a token sold at the desk. There is a lift, an accessible changing room and shower, a pool hoist and wheelchairs to borrow. The metro station is about ten minutes' walk away, with a car park next to the building.
