Kotiharjun — public sauna

Kotiharjun Sauna is one of the last traditional public wood-heated saunas in Helsinki, operating since 1928 in the Kallio district. The atmosphere is fully authentic: a massive wood-burning stove, dense steam, wooden benches and the urban character of an old working-class neighborhood.
Visitors come for classic Finnish sauna bathing without modern spa elements: heat, water buckets, cold showers and lively conversations in the relaxation area. It is a place where you can experience genuine Finnish sauna culture preserved almost unchanged.
