Founded in 2008, the painting school focuses on intuitive oil painting and meditation without favouring a particular painting style. Its three-plus-one-year programme is intended to prepare students for freelance art practice. Teachers include Matti Kurki, Vaula Valpola and head teacher Nagashila, with two guest teachers joining each academic year.
Teaching is organised by year group on Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday daytime, allowing study alongside full-time work. Meditation teaching is optional. Students have around-the-clock access to studio space in a Kalasatama studio building.
