Founded in 1906, the association promotes Finland-Swedish culture through folk and partner dancing. Styles include schottis, waltz, polka, foxtrot and bugg. Four of its seven groups are for children and young people and three for adults. The youngest groups use singing games, rhythm and group play.
All activities are in Swedish and take place in the association's own building. Ordinary clothes are worn for practice. A large folk costume wardrobe supplies outfits for performances, so members need no costume of their own. The association attends dance festivals and courses in Finland and the Nordic countries and holds member celebrations.
