Founded in 1963, the budo club offers judo, aikido and karate. Karate is mainly taught in the wadoryu style, with some shorinjiryu. Training covers strikes, kicks, locks and throws for fitness, self-defence or competition in kata and kumite.
Karate starts from age seven, with separate junior sessions for ages 7–14. Younger children have a play-based movement school introducing budo and basic exercise. Membership welcomes recreational trainees and competitors.
Train with the club, or does your child? Tell prospective members about the teaching in the comments.
