Founded in 1906 as a gymnastics and athletics club, the association's sports include football, rinkball, volleyball and futsal. Its history also includes wrestling, skiing and athletics; wrestler Nestori Tuominen won a world title in 1911. The club was a founding member of the Finnish Workers' Sports Federation in 1919.
Activities involve several team and veteran leagues. Other sports practised include futsal tennis, golf, basketball and bowling. Ice hockey operations ended in 1967.
