Founded in 1994, this association brings together professionals in environmental impact assessment. It acts as a network and discussion forum for people working in the field and promotes participatory planning that brings out different values. It issues statements and takes part in developing the assessment procedure.
Members receive the electronic Impakti magazine a few times a year, and it can also be read online. An annual national YVA Day event and webinars are organised. The association awards recognition prizes for work done for environmental impact assessment, and supporting membership is also available.
