The research group promotes medical and scientific study of contact dermatitis and other environmental and occupational skin diseases. It collates and publishes relevant information and encourages links between clinical and basic science. A preliminary meeting took place in High Wycombe in 1985, followed by the inaugural official meeting in London in 1986.
The group liaises with government and industry and holds strategic and educational meetings. Specialists from several European countries have participated in its work.
