This state-owned special-assignment company provides pilotage along Finland's coast and archipelago, as well as open-sea pilotage in the Baltic. Pilots contribute local knowledge for fairway navigation and port manoeuvres, with operations governed by the Finnish Pilotage Act.
Services also include PEC familiarisation voyages, fairway knowledge tests, practical examinations and ship simulator tests. A traffic log and vessel map on the website allow users to follow pilotage traffic.
