Founded by substance use professionals in 2018, the association works to reduce substance-related harm. It runs Mesta, a meeting place opened in 2019 offering people who use substances support, guidance, groups, activities and space for coffee and rest. It is funded by STEA, Finland's Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations.
The street-level space welcomes visitors without an appointment or a requirement to be substance-free. Work centres on confidential support within each person's circumstances. The association cooperates with social and health services and other organisations, and supporters can become members.
If you wish to share your experience of the support, leave a comment to help others looking for services.
