Finland's central road safety organisation works to influence traffic behaviour and coordinates its member organisations' safety work. Its statutory activities follow the Vision Zero principle. It compiles road safety statistics and research and communicates on safety issues with the media.
Traffic education materials cover children, young people, adults and older people. Teaching resources, brochures, guides and posters can be ordered through its materials service. Continuing training is offered for heavy vehicle, car and motorcycle instructors. Twelve regional offices work with municipalities, authorities and organisations, with local trainers providing training services.
