Founded in 2014, the company develops flywheel energy storage. A hubless rotor spinning in a vacuum delivers up to one megawatt in under ten milliseconds. Systems are supplied in containers and can sustain output for up to 15 minutes.
Applications include grid frequency stabilisation, industrial peak shaving, data centres, renewable energy and rail. The system can be paired with battery storage to handle fast, frequent cycling. The company operates within Aalto University's innovation environment.
