Founded in Viipuri in 1918, the athletics club runs competitive sport for children and adults, exercise activities and mass participation events. It belongs to the Finnish Athletics Federation and a regional athletics association and holds the Olympic Committee and federation's Star Club mark.
An adult athletics school is available. Events include Toukokuun kisat and Pääkaupunkijuoksu, and club clothing is sold online. A book of a hundred stories marked its centenary in 2018. The office is at Liikuntamylly sports centre.
