The textile artist and master craftsperson designs and makes art textiles and church textiles. Her technique combines free-form machine embroidery and appliqué, layering and interweaving fabric and thread. The sewing machine acts as a brush, with thread as colour, exploring nature, people and everyday moments.
She graduated in textile design in 1987, founded the business in 2003 and completed a master craftsperson qualification in 2019. Her work includes six bishops' vestments and textiles for about twenty churches. Pieces have appeared in solo and group exhibitions in Finland and abroad.
